The Texas Ranger TR-900 Series are the newest addition to the Texas Ranger line of high quality CB radios. They feature a new face plate style and the "new circuit design" concept by Ranger Communications, Inc. Built with ruggedness, durability and reliability in mind, which allows us to offer a 2 year warranty. These models will satisfy your needs for a high performance AM only or AM/SSB radio and do it with style.
Built with the trucker in mind, the low component profile method of manufacturing the TR-900 series offers extreme vibration resistance for those rough uses such as the tough treatment that a radio receives while installed in an 18 wheeler. Continual bouncing and jarring will have no effect on these models. Plus, with the new voltage fluctuation protection circuitry, you don't have any worries about the extremes you encounter on start-ups and other varying voltage problems.
The TR-900 Series features the new Ranger exclusive "Advanced Noise Filter Circuit" for improved signal to noise ratio, providing high noise rejection capability that others just claim they have. This one works! You will instantly notice marginal signals pop in better when you turn on the switch and listen to your reception with a quieter signal.
There are three different models within the 900 Series. Each has their own unique features, and offers you a wider choice in choosing the exact radio to fit your needs.
If you desire a radio with the capabilities of receiving the weather channels, then choose the AM/SSB TR-969WX model. A feature of the Ranger WX radios is that when you switch to WX position, it will automatically scan all 7 NOAA weather channels and find the nearest one to you. Now, driving across country you don't have to try to remember which channel is for the area you are in,or keep switching channel numbers to find the weather station near you. Ranger's unique scan feature does it all for you. It also incorporates an Alert feature that will warn you of impending severe weather conditions. The TR-969WX also features "Roger Beep" and a variable talk back control.
You don't need weather channels? The TR-936 AM only and the TR-966 AM/SSB was built just for you. With the TR-936, we have included the roger beep feature, variable dimmer control, and a variable tone control so you can adjust the sound to just how you like to listen to it. For the SSB users, the TR-966 features a clarifier control, hi/low tone switch, and a bright/dim switch.
The TR-900 Series is sure to please everyone with the new stylized case and front panel. See the below list of features common to all four models.
— 6 Digit Frequency Counter Connector — 2 Year Warranty
— 2 Digit Channel Indicator

Echo Mike Compatible
Now you can add the Echo feature to the TR-900 Series with the new optional Ranger Echo Mike, model # SRA-117A. This mike will give you complete control of the interval and delay features of Echo, all from the front of the microphone. No rewiring is necessary, simply plug it in and operate.
